Laser Toenail Fungus Removal Procedure
Our procedure uses infrared light to treat the fungal infection. The laser targets the infected cells and uses heat to eradicate the infected toenail.
The infrared laser beam is placed on top of the fungus-infected toenail without causing injury or disturbing the skin around the toenail. The procedure is virtually painless and does not need anesthesia or numbing agents. The entire procedure takes 15 to 30 minutes.
Treatments will vary according to the extent of your toenail fungal infection. Normally, laser toenail fungus removal takes about four laser treatments.
When will I see results?
Results are not instant, however as your nail grows, the results will become apparent. Usually, it takes about 3 months for the toenail to fully grow out, and by then you should see a significant difference in the appearance and health of your toenail. The number of treatments will vary according to the extent of the infection.
How should I prepare for my treatment?
We require all nail polish and other nail accessories be removed from the affected toenail before having the laser treatment.
Will the treatment prevent toenail fungal infection from ever coming back?
For the reason that fungus is ever present in your surroundings, the chances of the toenail fungal infection returning should be considered. However, laser treatment eradicates the fungal infection even with only one treatment.
